Preparing for a Brazilian Wax

Writer's picture: The HiveThe Hive

Body waxing is one of our most popular services at The Hive in Downtown Corvallis. And the most frequently booked body waxing service... a Brazilian Wax. We get asked all the time, what should I do to prepare for my Brazilian Wax. For the few days leading up to your appointment, avoid excessive sun exposure. Check your medications. Our Estheticians can't wax you if your medications include Retinol or Vitamin A as your skin may be ultra sensitive. Exfoliate. Leading up to your appointment, make sure you're exfoliating regularly. This will prevent ingrown hairs and ensure that the wax is able to pick up all the hair. Wear comfy clothes. You'll want natural fabrics to avoid irritation right after your waxing appointment. During your actual appointment, remember to breathe and avoid tensing your muscles. Our Estheticians are quick and are trained in techniques that minimize unnecessary pain during your waxing appointment. If you've never had a Brazilian Wax, chances are you'll be nervous you're first time. Rest assured, our Estheticians are professionals and although this your first time, they've done this service more times than they can count. You're in good hands! We promise to make it as quick as possible! To reserve your Brazilian Wax or any body waxing appointment you can give us a call at (541) 230-1217 or reserve your appointment online at www.thehivecorvallis.com
